Lyricist Lefteris Papadopoulos (center), whose name has been inextricably linked to the golden age of Greek music, enters the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens accompanied by singer Giorgos Dalaras for the concert-tribute to his long career on Wednesday.

Legendary Greek composer and conductor Stavros Xarchakos teams up with renowned singers Miltos Paschalidis, Dimitris Basis and Iro Saia, along with a large orchestra of top soloists, to play his timeless melodies at Alsos Theater (Pedion tou Areos) on October 3.Tickets start from 10 euros at more.com  

The following artists will participate in alphabetical order, performing for free: Eleftheria Arvanitaki, Melina Aslanidou, Glykeria, Stelios Dionysiou, Eleonora Zouganeli, Melina Kana, Giannis Kotsiras, Kostas Makedonas, Christos Mastoras, Minos Matsas, Manolis Mitsias, Dimitris Basis, George Dalaras, Miltos Paschalidis, Antonis Remos, and Maria Farantouri.

A 300-strong choir will pay tribute to the great Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis at the Athens Concert Hall on Monday, February 6, and Tuesday, February 7, with a monumental show of his choral works and poems set to music.
