The boy seriously wounded in "Ribnikar" will have to continue treatment in Chicago
The State Secretary at the Ministry of Health stated that the boy who was seriously wounded at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Elementary School will most likely continue his treatment in Chicago.
The boy is currently at the Institute for Mother and Child, with serious neck and spine injuries, Mirsad Djerlek reminded.

The largest and most modernly equipped health institution - the new tower of the Clinical Center of Serbia, will cover 86.000 square meters and 12 floors.

Djerlek: Stricter measures in ten days
As he points out, COVID passes are being introduced to protect lives.
"We will wait for seven to ten days, and if there is a positive effect of COVID passes, we will be satisfied, if not, the Ministry will ask for more rigorous and much more effective measures at the Crisis Staff," Djerlek pointed out.

Doctors call on citizens, especially young people, to get vaccinated and thus protect themselves from the epidemic.

A slight decrease in the number of newly infected
There are 191 patients on respirators.
In the previous 24 hours, 21.454 citizens were tested for coronavirus.
The day before, 23.408 citizens were tested for coronavirus, of which there are 7.201 newly infected. Yesterday, 39 patients died, and there were 195 patients on respirators.

"45% of the population in Serbia chooses mass infection"
Mirsad Djerlek asked the unvaccinated why they are not getting immunized. "What are the unvaccinated waiting for, why don't they roll up their sleeves?"
"We have to have between 70 and 80 percent vaccinated for collective immunity," he told K1 television.
Crisis Staff session scheduled for Wednesday
The current epidemiological situation will be discussed at the session.
In the previous days, experts warned of an increase in the number of newly infected, as well as of the danger of a fourth wave in Serbia due to the weak response to vaccination in September.

The number of newly infected is growing
One person died.
Epidemiologist Predrag Kon stated today that there is an obligation for health workers to be vaccinated against diseases that they have not contracted the infection.
As he points out, this refers to all infectious diseases that existed at the time when it was brought, even to the most recent one - COVID-19.

In the last 24 hours, 13.416 people were tested.
There are 148 patients on respirators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 429.048 people have fallen ill with COVID-19 in Serbia, and 4.292 people have died.
