Türk Telekom posted strong financial results in the first half of the year, increasing its consolidated revenues by 4.4 percent year-on-year to 33 billion Turkish Liras ($980 million) in the second quarter and by 5 percent to 63.2 billion liras ($1.85 billion) in the first half.

Türk Telekom mulls big tech investment with a foreign company: CEO
Türk Telekom is holding talks with a foreign company for an investment to develop new generation technologies, said Ümit Önal, its CEO.
This will mark a significant foreign direct investment and those tech products will be exported, Önal told a group of journalists without naming the potential foreign partner. But he said that the investment plans will be made public in two months.
Turks spend more than 4 hours watching TV last year
Turks spent four hours and 33 minutes on average watching TV last year, which is well above the world's average of two hours and 54 minutes, according to a recent study conducted by the Television Watching Research Company (TİAK).
The corresponding figure for Europe was three hours and 54 minutes.
Türk Telekom’s subsrcipton base expands to 51.4 million
The number of Türk Telekom's subscribers rose to 51.4 million, while the company revised up its revenue, profit and investment forecasts for 2021, according to the company's third-quarter results announced on Nov. 3.
Türk Telekom, Turkey's prominent telecommunications company, has 14.1 million broadband customers as of the end of September, the statement said.
Türk Telekom owns 56 patents in US: CEO
Türk Telekom's subsidiary Argela and its U.S.-based affiliated firm, Netsia, operating in the Silicon Valley, have registered intellectual property rights for 56 products used in 5G technology and fiber networks in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal has said.
