Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Özgür Özel has extolled his party's nomination of a high number of women and young candidates while pledging to further enhance their presence within the party's ranks in the future.

İYİ (Good) Party leader Meral Akşener has revealed plans to contest all 81 provinces, including key battlegrounds Istanbul and Ankara, in the upcoming local elections without forming any alliances.

The announcement comes as Istanbul and Ankara mayors Ekrem İmamoğlu and Mansur Yavaş, respectively, declared their intentions to seek re-election in the upcoming March municipal elections.

İYİ (Good) Party leader Meral Akşener has announced the newly appointed members of the party's General Administrative Board during its first gathering after the third ordinary congress held on June 24.
