President congratulates Muslims on major holiday

BELGRADE -- Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić congratulated all Muslim citizens on their religious holiday of Ramadan Bayram.

He expressed the wish for them to spend it in peace and good health, and for the holiday to bring them family happiness and joy.

NOVI PAZAR - President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia Mufti Mevlud Dudic said that the Muslim holiday of Ramadan Bayram represents an opportunity to pray for the suffering Muslim people, especially in Gaza, and call for genuine peace among all peoples.

Sobbing and shaking, Ismail Abu Musallam leaned against the wall of a hospital Friday, waiting for three of his children to be prepared for burial. They were killed as they slept when an Israeli tank shell hit their home, burying 11-year-old Ahmed, 14-year-old Walaa and 16-year-old Mohammed under debris in their beds.
