Türkiye's top religious official will send letters to many countries around the world over Sweden's permission for a planned burning of the Quran, Islam's holy book, near the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm.
Sweden denounces PKK demonstration as 'disgusting'
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on Jan. 13 denounced a demonstration by PKK terror organization in central Stockholm, where the supporters of the group hung a puppet from its legs that depicted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as 'disgusting' and an act of "sabotage" against Sweden's bid to join NATO.

Türkiye summons Swedish envoy over 'terror propaganda'
The Foreign Ministry on Jan. 12 summoned Sweden's ambassador in Ankara to lodge a protest over a demonstration in Stockholm where the supporters of the PKK hung a puppet that depicted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan from its legs.
The ministry expressed Ankara's frustration about the terrorist propaganda, which targeted Erdoğan and Türkiye, diplomatic sources said.
Bridge, highway tolls not to be hiked this year
Tolls charged for bridges and highways will not be increased in 2023, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced.

The Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (Botaş) announced that the price of gas used was cut by 12.75 percent to 18,000 Turkish Liras/1,000 cubic meters.
