Turkey's top business bodies have condemned the suicide bomb attack in Istanbul's touristic Sultanahmet neighborhood, calling for the country to stand together against such acts.

Turkey was the site of yet another terrorist attack by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) on Jan. 12, in Istanbul's highly touristic historical area Sultanahmet. The attack killed 11, including the suicide bomber, and wounded 15.

Turkish authorities announced that the suicide bomber responsible for the deadly attack carried out near the grandest tourist attractions of Istanbul on Jan 12 is affiliated with Islamic State.

An Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militant killed at least 10 foreign nationals, most of them Germans, and wounded 15 other people after blowing himself up at a tourist spot in Istanbul's old city on Jan. 12.

An explosion occurred on Jan. 12 in Istanbul's touristic Sultanahmet Square, killing 10 while wounding at least 15, Istanbul governor's office has said.

According to reports by private broadcaster CNN Türk, the explosion occurred by the obelisk of Theodosius in the touristic Sultanahmet Square in Istanbul's Fatih district.
