Turkey-EU ties little better than past year: Rapporteur
2020 was the worst year in ties between Turkey and Europe but now they are slightly better, a rapporteur of the European Parliament has said, citing the resumption of dialogue between Turkey and Greece as a positive move.
Nacho Sanchez Amor, European Parliament's rapporteur on Turkey, met with Turkish journalists on Oct. 9 during a visit to Istanbul.

The European rights court said his detention for more than four years has sent a "dangerous message" to Turkish people and was "merely a cover for an ulterior political purpose".
EU Parliament scraps cutting funds for Turkey
The European Parliament (EP) on May 14 rejected a proposal by some of its lawmakers that would have cut pre-accession funds for Turkey.
"Today, the European Parliament has largely voted against suspending IPA fund for Turkey," Spanish lawmaker Nacho Sanchez Amor wrote on Twitter.
