Largest fuel retailer ready for winter
Petrol, the largest fuel retailer on the Slovenian market, has adjusted its logistics to the possible challenges in winter. Having improved its anticipation of spikes in demand following June’s fuel shortages, the company is also prepared to supply more heating oil should it be needed for electricity generation.

Golob says shortage of fuel a scandal
Ljubljana – Prime Minister Rober Golob said on Monday he found it scandalous that several petrol stations around the country ran out of fuel on Sunday and today as drivers rushed to service stations in anticipation of Tuesday’s price hike stemming from a new pricing model kicking in.

Petrol looking to become leading fuel retailer in Croatia
Zagreb – Nada Drobne Popović, the CEO of energy group Petrol, has told the Croatian newspaper Večernji List that, following last year’s takeover of Crodux, Petrol aims to become the leading provider of motor fuels in the Croatian market. She projects that sales in Croatia will exceed those in Slovenia by 2025.
Petrol group’s nine-month profit more than doubles to EUR 91m
Ljubljana – The energy group Petrol saw its revenue in the first nine months of the year increase by 34% to EUR 3.1 billion, while net profit more than doubled, increasing by 125% to EUR 91.2 million. Chairman Nada Drobne Popović said as Petrol released the report that the group was on pace of exceeding the plans set for this year.
Petrol’s net profit more than doubles as sales up 20%
Ljubljana – Energy company Petrol saw group net profit jump by 140% to more than EUR 49 million on sales that increased 20% year-on-year to EUR 1.8 billion, according to the company’s interim report released on Friday.
New supervisors appointed at Petrol
Ljubljana – The shareholders of energy group Petrol appointed new supervisors on Monday and voted against a proposal to take legal action against the former management for alleged damages over multiple high-profile transactions.
Two current supervisors – chief supervisor Sašo Berger and Mladen Kaliterna – received new terms.
