Greek PM visits Lebanon aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties, support stability

FM holds talks on Gaza, Syria amid regional tensions

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has engaged in a series of diplomatic calls with regional counterparts to address escalating conflicts in Gaza and Syria.

Fidan spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to discuss the situation in Syria, where Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and other anti-regime factions launched a large-scale offensive on Nov. 27.

Mitsotakis holds call with Lebanese PM

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a call with Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Thursday.

Mitsotakis welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, stating that Greece is in favor of stability and peace in Lebanon. 

He also said the Greece is ready to assist in any way possible with the implementation of the ceasefire.
