Court jails hotel owner, architect in landmark earthquake trial
An Adıyaman court has delivered its verdict in the Grand İsias Hotel case, one of the landmark trials stemming from the devastating 2023 earthquakes, sentencing six defendants, including the hotel owner and architect, to prison.

The trial of Isias Hotel in Adıyaman, which collapsed in the Feb. 6 earthquakes and killed 72 people, including 35 athletes, teachers and coaches from Turkish Cyprus and members of the Turkish Tourist Guides Association, began on Jan. 3.

Erdoğan to embark on 1st foreign visits to Turkish Cyprus, Azerbaijan
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to embark on his first foreign visits following his reelection in the May 28 polls to Turkish Cyprus and Azerbaijan, in a bid to discuss bilateral ties and steps to improve cooperation.
In his first visit on June 12, Erdoğan will meet with Turkish Cypriot President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
