Turkey marks 58th death anniversary of Nazım Hikmet
Turkey on June 3 marked the 58th death anniversary of legendary Turkish poet Nazım Hikmet.
Hikmet was born in 1902 to an elite family in Thessaloniki, an Ottoman Empire territory in present-day Greece. He grew up in Anatolia, the Turkish heartland.

Artists launch campaign to help theater workers
Turkish actors have launched a donation platform to help unemployed theater workers as the sector is now one of the hardest hit because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Actors including Ali Düşenkalkar, Çağlar Çorumlu and Tilbe Saran organized the campaign for stage workers.

Ara Güler İzmir exhibition goes online with Arkas

Kemal Tahir: Most prolific Turkish novelist
Turkish author Kemal Tahir's 47th death anniversary is being commemorated on April 21.
His most famous works are Devlet Ana (Mother State) that defines the ideal state by attributing to Turkish history and Yorgun Savaşçı (Tired Warrior) that tells the story of a Turkish soldier who fought for independence and liberation of Turkey.

Tender will be held to convert iconic inn into five-star hotel
