Britain launches COVID-19 vaccine study, latest in race 

Testing of an experimental COVID-19 vaccine began in healthy volunteers in Britain on April 23, the latest in a cluster of early-stage studies in search of protection against the coronavirus.

University of Oxford researchers gave injections to volunteers in a study that eventually aims to include hundreds in hopes of telling not only if the vaccine is safe but if it works. 

Five Dead, Pilot is Sole Survivor of Helicopter Crash in NYC's East River

The pilot of a helicopter that went down in New York's East River Sunday is the sole survivor of the crash, after all five passengers died, authorities say, quoted by CNN. 

Three of the passengers had been taken to hospital with critical injuries after surviving the crash, but the New York City Fire Department confirmed their deaths early Monday.

Sinn Fein lash out at British PM after talks delay

Northern Ireland's Sinn Fein accused British Prime Minister Theresa May on July 5 of setting the peace process back decades after a further delay in talks to form a new government for the province.

Michelle O'Neill, Sinn Fein's leader, said an agreement between May and the Democratic Unionist Party's 10 MPs in the London parliament to prop up her minority government was at fault.
