The number of quarantined students has quadrupled since the beginning of the school year. This was announced by the Minister of Education Nikolay Denkov. According to him, the increase in cases is smooth and no additional measures are needed. Currently, 4 schools are entirely on a rotating basis precisely because of infected children.

"The candidacy of the rector of Sofia University Prof. Anastas Gerdzhikov for president surprised me and even worried me. I did not expect that a person from our community would be a candidate of GERB,". This was said by the caretaker Education Minister Prof. Nikolay Denkov in a tv interview.

The coronavirus occurs more and more in schools and kindergartens. Minister Nikolay Denkov reported a slight increase in quarantined teachers and children. A total of 211 school classes and groups in kindergartens in the country are under quarantine, it became clear from Denkov's words.

The Ministry of Educaion and Science  will close schools where  the anti-epidemic measures are not observed,stated  Minister of Education Nikolay Denkov. Today marked the beginning of the new academic year at the University of National and World Economy. It started for over 16,000 students, of whom 4,000 were freshmen.

On the first school day, a mobile vaccination team started working at the University of National and World Economy.

The leader of There Is Such a People, Slavi Trifonov, announced today that his party will be taking on the responsibility of governing Bulgaria alone, as the 'protest' parties lack the necessary majority. Using the TV channel 7/8 as a platform, he thanked voters for their support.

The party "There is such a people" will not be a part of coalition with the other so-called "parties of protest" ("Democratic Bulgaria" and "Rise up! Thugs, out"), but will propose a government.

Thirty thousand Bulgarian school students and teachers will spend free vacations at tourist sites to support businesses under the "Together Again" programme. Each state and municipal school will be able to send no more than 70 children from the 1st to the 9th grade.
