Classical Music Festival | Syros | To August 17

The International Classical Music Festival of the Cyclades is under way at the Apollon Theater in Ermoupoli on Syros. The annual festival features artists from all over the world in performances of classical works from chamber music to arias under the artistic direction of Greek National Opera violinist Giannou Margaziotis.

Opera Gala | Athens | December 18

The Association of Friends of the Tatoi Estate is organizing its fifth Opera Gala to raise funds for the conservation of the former royal estate in northern Athens on December 18, starting at 8 p.m. at the Parnassos Literary Society. The concert will feature Vassiliki Karayanni (soprano), Nikos Spanatis (countertenor) and Charis Andrianos (baritone), accompanied by pianist Dimitris Giakas.

Purcell | Athens | May 7

Greek countertenor Nikos Spanatis and French-Lebanese harpsichordist and conductor Ronan Khalil will perform works by Henry Purcell in the foyer of the Olympia Theater on Sunday, May 7. The concert starts at 6 p.m. and admission costs 6 euros.
