The Demre Museum Directorate has closed off the mosaic floor at St. Nicholas Church in tourism hotspot Antalya's Demre district, a site believed to be where St. Nicholas, widely recognized as Santa Claus, once walked.

The Lycian Civilizations Museum in the southern province of Antalya stands out with its priceless works that provide information about the religious beliefs, economic and social life of the Lycian Union, where the first democratic practices in history were implemented.

The archaeology museum in the southern province of Hatay, one of the richest places in Anatolia in terms of archaeology, will soon be home to the world's largest mosaic collection when its second stage is finished within the next six months. 

A Roman-era mosaic that was unearthed at a construction site in the southern province of Hatay in April will soon be promoted in Paris. 

According to a statement made by the municipality, the "skeleton mosaic" will be promoted to the world on Oct. 25 as part of the "Mosaic Road project" by the ONE Association, which aims to promote Anatolian mosaics to the world.

Now in its new location, 40 percent of the Hatay Archaeology Museum is open to visitors, displaying thousands of artifacts dating back to the Stone Age.
