The U.N. voiced alarm on Tuesday at the civilian toll of Israel's rescue of four hostages in Gaza, and the fact that Palestinian armed groups are holding captives there.

The United Nations rights office said acts committed by both Israelis and Palestinians "may amount to war crimes".

Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz on Sunday announced his resignation amid celebrations for the rescue of four hostages from war-torn Gaza in a raid that Palestinians say killed hundreds.

Türkiye has condemned an Israeli attack on a Gaza refugee camp that reportedly resulted in the deaths of 210 Palestinians and left hundreds more wounded, according to Hamas-run media.

"We deplore the Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, which has killed hundreds of Palestinian civilians," Türkiye's Foreign Ministry said in a statement on June 9.

Israel announced its forces rescued four hostages on Saturday from a Gaza refugee camp in an operation which the Hamas-run government media office said left 210 Palestinians dead and hundreds wounded.
