Delyan Peevski, chairman of the Bulgarian party "DPS-New Beginning," was awarded a medal for his exceptional service to the Ukrainian people. The award was presented by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, and delivered by H.E. Olesya Ilashchuk, Ukraine's Ambassador to Bulgaria.

Bulgaria is facing over 400 court decisions due to its refusal to provide social benefits to children of Ukrainian citizens granted temporary protection in the country.

Bulgaria will offer rehabilitation to children injured in the rocket attack on a children's hospital in Kyiv, announced Minister of Social Policy Ivaylo Ivanov. The children and their companions will be accommodated in rest centers in Bulgaria.

In a strategic meeting on Monday, Bulgarian Defence Minister Todor Tagarev engaged in discussions with Ukraine's Ambassador to Sofia, Olesya Ilashchuk, focusing on the implementation of National Assembly resolutions and Council of Ministers decisions regarding military aid to Ukraine.

A march for the Independence Day of Ukraine in front of the monument of the Ukrainian poet and public figure Taras Shevchenko was held in Sofia. On the "Vazrazhdane" Square, with a minute's silence, on their knees, those present honored the memory of those who died for the independence of Ukraine.

"Bulgaria strongly condemns the Russian aggression in Ukraine and will continue to insist on achieving a just and lasting peace in a way that will preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country".
