The Turkish General Staff said in a statement on Feb. 28 that a total of 2,184 militants have been “neutralized” since the start of “Operation Olive Branch” in the northwestern Syrian district of Afrin. 

The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) will soon launch a “new phase” in the ongoing “Operation Olive Branch” into the northern Syrian district of Afrin with the deployment of the Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH) tasked with carrying out urban warfare against the People’s Protection Units (YPG).

The Turkish General Staff said in a statement on Feb. 26 that a total of 2,059 militants have been “neutralized” since the start of “Operation Olive Branch” in the northwestern Syrian district of Afrin.

The Kurdish Hawks Brigade, part of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), will join Turkey’s “Operation Olive Branch” launched against the People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the northwestern province of Afrin, a brigade commander said on Feb. 25.

A total of 2,018 People’s Protection Units (YPG) militants have been “neutralized” since the launch of “Operation Olive Branch” in Syria’s northwestern Afrin region, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement on Feb. 25.

Turkey bombed a convoy belonging to the YPG militants during Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, northwestern Syria, the Turkish army said on Feb. 24.

Ankara appreciates the United Kingdom’s stance on Turkey’s ongoing “Operation Olive Branch” in the northern Syrian district of Afrin, a senior ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) official said on Feb. 21.
