The United States is poised to sign a peace agreement with Taliban militants on Feb. 26 aimed at bringing an end to 18 years of bloodshed in Afghanistan and allowing U.S. troops to return home from America's longest war.

A temporary truce between the United States and the Taliban took effect on Feb. 21, setting the stage for the two sides to sign a peace deal next week aimed at ending 18 years of war in Afghanistan and bringing U.S. troops home.

Osama bin Laden's son was killed in a US special operation. This was announced by President Donald Trump after last month the United States Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said that Hamza bin Laden, known as the "Prince of Jihad," is dead.

Hamza bin Laden, son of slain al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, was killed in a U.S. counter-terrorism operation in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, President Donald Trump confirmed on Sept. 14.

Donald Trump threatened to release Islamic State (ISIS) fighters detained in Syria to Europe if Europe does not take them back voluntarily, Rudaw reported. 

Hamza Bin Laden, the son of the founder of the al-Qaeda terrorist network - Osama Bin Laden, was killed during an air strike.

This is claimed by US media, citing their intelligence sources. It is not clear exactly when and where Hamza died, but it is believed that this has happened in the last two years.

The Pentagon did not comment on the information.

The United States believes that Hamza bin Laden, a son of slain al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and himself a notable figure in the militant group, is dead, a U.S. official said on July 31.

Pakistan's main spy agency provided the U.S. with a lead that helped them find and kill Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Prime Minister Imran Khan said on July 22.    

The harsh sentence drew strong criticism from international human rights organisations, media unions and NGOs. After his release from prison, he spent another eight months under arrest.

His book about his experiences, Life in the Box, was first published in Macedonian in 2017 - the year Gruevski was toppled from power.

The United States on Thursday offered a $1 million reward for information on a son of late Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, seeing him as an emerging leader of the extremist network.

The location of Hamza bin Laden, sometimes dubbed the "crown prince of jihad," has been the subject of speculation for years with reports of him in Pakistan, Afghanistan or under house arrest in Iran.
