Turkey's opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will continue its "Conscience and Justice Watch" in Istanbul after spending a week in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır.

It is set to begin in Yoğurtçu Park in Istanbul's Kadıköy on Aug. 1 and will continue for a week.

The Kurdish issue-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has initiated "Conscience and Justice Watch" for an undetermined time in the southeast province of Diyarbakır amid police barriers.

The party released the "Democratic Solution Declaration" with nine articles, featuring "urgent democratic demands."

Police on June 2 briefly detained Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) spokesperson Osman Baydemir in the southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakır as part of an ongoing case in which he is accused of "insulting public servants," Doğan News Ageny has reported.

A court in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır issued an arrest warrant on May 30 for Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Şanlıurfa deputy and spokesperson Osman Baydemir on charges of "insulting public servants on account of their position," according to Doğan News Agency.

A delegation from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), along with several European parliamentarians, gathered in Strasbourg in front of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on May 16 to call on the court to act on the conditions of arrested HDP lawmakers.
