Police identified on Friday the 31-year-old man arrested in Athens this week who is suspected of being an accomplice of jailed Revolutionary Struggle leader Nikos Maziotis.

Panagiota Roupa, the wife of Revolutionary Struggle leader Nikos Maziotis who was arrested last month in a shootout with police in central Athens, warned over the weekend that the guerrilla group would continue its armed action.

Greek police arrested one of the country's most wanted men – a fugitive convicted of terrorism – during a shootout Wednesday in Athens' central tourist district that left four people wounded, authorities said.
