Banks to sell individual bad loans to funds

Greek banks are adopting a tougher stance toward entrepreneurs who do not service their obligations, by moving ahead with the direct sale of major enterprises' bad loans to funds.

The sales planned will not only concern large portfolio transfers but also individual loan sales, even those of small or medium-sized companies.

Anti-racism rallies were held in Athens and several other Greek cities on Saturday evening ahead of the fifth anniversary of the killing of a leftist rapper by a member of the neofascist Golden Dawn.

The Greece Police (ELAS) on Monday announced an operation against a gang dealing in significant quantities of drugs.

Man wanted in Switzerland for sexual abuse of minor arrested

A 62-year-old foreign national was detained on Thursday on a European arrest warrant on the national highway connecting the southern cities of Patra and Pyrgos.

According to police, he is wanted by Swiss authorities for the repeated sexual abuse of minor.
