Two months after the jihadist attack in which staff at the French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo were murdered, a split has emerged in the newsroom over the nearly 30 million euros received since the killings.

Eleven staff members have called for all employees to become equal shareholders in the magazine, setting them up for a battle with the current management.

This week's post-attack edition of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo will be made available in six languages including English, Arabic and Turkish, the chief editor said Jan. 13.
      

This week's edition of Charlie Hebdo, put together by survivors of last week's newsroom massacre in Paris by Islamist gunmen, will defiantly feature caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed, its lawyer said Jan. 12.

The special issue, to come out on Jan. 14, will also be offered "in 16 languages" for readers around the world, one of its columnists, Patrick Pelloux, said.

Surviving employees of Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical newspaper that lost its top staff to gunmen in a Paris attack this week, started work on a new issue Jan. 9 in premises loaned by the newspaper Liberation.

Several people associated with the publication were seen going into Liberation's offices in central eastern Paris.

The French satirical newspaper whose staff was decimated in an Islamist attack will publish as scheduled next week, one of its surviving staff members told AFP on Jan. 8.

Charlie Hebdo will publish next Wednesday to defiantly show that "stupidity will not win," said columnist Patrick Pelloux, who is also an emergency room doctor.
