France's Total to go ahead with major Iran gas project: CEO
Total will go ahead with development of a giant Iranian gas field this summer, its CEO told Reuters, in the first major western energy investment in the country since Tehran signed an international nuclear deal.

Total boss rules out oil price recovery in 2016
Oil prices are not expected to rise next year, the head of French energy giant Total told reporters in Qatar on Dec. 7.
"We don't anticipate a recovery in 2016," Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne said on the sidelines of the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) in Doha.

Family funeral in France for Total boss
Former Total boss Christophe de Margerie, who died last week when his private jet crashed in Russia, was buried on Oct. 28 in a private family funeral in France.
Around 100 mourners, mainly relatives and close associates, were present at the ceremony held under clear blue skies in the small village of Saint-Pair-sur-Mer in northwestern France.

Total names new head, and chairman after CEO death: union
Total named Patrick Pouyanne, currently head of refining and chemicals, as its new chief executive while former CEO Thierry Desmarest was appointed chairman on Oct. 22, a union source told AFP.
