I spent the Labor Day weekend in Chicago, America's greatest summer city. Sunday afternoon in particular was glorious. The temperatures were moderate, the skies were clear and the tourist sections of the city were teeming with happy Pearl Jam fans who'd just attended Saturday's concert at Wrigley Field.

Greek-born, London-based fashion designer Mary Katrantzou has won this year?s BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund, the British Fashion Council announced on Wednesday.

Greek designer Mary Katrantzou has scooped the 2015 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund prize, beating an impressive shortlist of competitors including Holly Fulton, Michael van der Ham, Mother of Pearl, Sophia Webster, Osman and Emilia Wickstead.
