BELGRADE - The Finnish government will help the Serbian hydrological services recover from flood-caused damage with a donation of hydrological equipment worth EUR 100,000, said the participants of Friday's initial meeting on a project for rehabilitation and modernisation of hydrological and meteorological observation systems and data exchange procedures in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dacic confers with Finnish ambassador
BELGRADE - Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic conferred on Monday with Finnish Ambassador to Serbia Pekka Orpana, Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a release.
Ambassador Orpana extended to Dacic the official invitation by Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja to visit Finland.

Construction of new plant for Finnish PKC Group begins
SMEDEREVO - The construction of a new, 19,200-square-metre production plant for the Finnish PKC Group, which makes cable harnesses for commercial vehicles, began on Friday in Smederevo, a city in north-eastern Serbia situated on the banks of the Danube River.
