BELGRADE - Svetislav Pesic has signed a contract with the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS) to stay on as head coach of the men's national basketball team until September 30, 2025 with an option to extend the deal, KSS President Nebojsa Covic announced on Sunday.

If there’s a definition of a triumphant welcome, it’s certainly the one given by approximately 40,000 Serbians to their country’s delegation, which returned from the Olympic Games carrying, among others, Novak Djokovic’s gold medal in tennis and the bronze won by Nikola Jokic’s team in basketball.

Pesic will lead our national team already in the November qualifications for the 2023 World Cup, when Serbia will meet Latvia on November 25, while three days later it will visit Belgium.
