Petros Klampanis

After releasing what is being hailed as one of his most interesting albums to date, "Tora Collective," award-winning Greek musician Petros Klampanis and his ensemble will appear at the Music Corner record store (56 Panepistimiou & Benaki, tel 210.330.4000) for a special appearance on Friday at 8 p.m.

After two successful shows at the Little Theater of Ancient Epidaurus last summer, award-winning Greek musician Petros Klampanis is bringing his new work to the capital's Parnassos Literary Society (Karytsi Square, tel 210.322.1917).

Local jazz musician and composer Petros Klampanis will appear at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center's Lighthouse on Sunday, December 30, with a program of his own compositions and covers of some of his favorite tunes - from jazz standards and indie numbers to Greek traditional music - accompanied by a string sextet.

Acclaimed Greek jazz musicians and composers Stavros Lantsias and Petros Klampanis will perform pieces from their respective oeuvres as well as work they have created together inspired by traditional Greek folk music at the Athenaeum Cellar. They will be joined by Thomas Constantinou on the oud and vocals, and Panos Dimitrakopoulos on the quanun. Shows start at 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9 p.m.
