MPs approved the resignation of Plamen Nikolov as prime ministerial candidate. The decision was reached after a new case and a presidential council.

Today, the National Assembly will vote on the decision to withdraw Plamen Nikolov's candidacy from TISP for a prime minister.

This came after "There is such a people" on Tuesday refused to propose a draft cabinet for a vote during the plenary session, creating unprecedented constitutional case.

The attempt to form a government in Bulgaria failed after the showman and leader of There is Such a People (TISP) Stanislav Trifonov announced on 10 August afternoon on his private 7/8 TV that his party would not submit their proposed draft cabinet to parliament for voting.

"This means new elections," the leader of the party, Slavi Trifonov, said in a video statement.

A person who is not widely known and has no experience in politics, but has experience in private business is one way to describe the candidate of "There is Such a People" (ITN) for Prime Minister, Plamen Nikolov. The party that won the snap parliamentary elections on July 11 once again failed to betray its style of surprising society.

Plamen Nikolov, the Prime Minister designate of There Is Such a People (TISP), went back to President Rumen Radev to hand him the proposal of his party - the biggest in Parliament - for a government.

"For personal reasons, the candidate for Minister of Justice Momtchil Ivanov has withdrawn," Plamen Nikolov, nominated by ITN for prime minister announced at a press conference in parliament.  

"His dignity prevents him from going on after everything he went through, all the statements and press publications," Plamen Nikolov explained.
