Potami hits out at MP Amyras over departure from party
In a sharply-worded statement, centrist Potami hit out at MP Giorgos Amyras who announced his departure from the party earlier on Monday.
By leaving the party shortly before the launch of debate on the Prespes name deal, Amyras has "chosen to join the rightwing pantheon as the MP who destroyed Potami's parliamentary group," Potami said in a statement.
Greek leaders react cautiously to Erdogan victory
Greek political party leaders have reacted cautiously after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan claimed victory in a referendum on Sunday on granting him sweeping new powers.
SYRIZA MEP and Vice President of European Parliament Dimitris Papadimoulis said the referendum showed just how divided Turkey is and described the result as a disputed victory by Erdogan.

Independent MP Iason Fotilas joins ND's ranks
An independent lawmaker voted into Parliament with centrist To Potami joined the ranks on conservative New Democracy on Tuesday, boosting the opposition party's share of the 300-seat Parliament to 76 seats.
New Democracy, Iason Fotilas said, "is a force that continues to represent a fundamental factor in the country's European and democratic future."
