Venezuelan authorities have arrested a former oil minister accused of links to a firm controlled by U.S. intelligence services, the public prosecutor's office has announced. 

 A nationwide strike against plans to rewrite the constitution shut down much of Venezuelan's capital on July 20 çbefore erupting into sporadic violence that left at least two young men dead.

The United Nations Security Council does not have any consensus at the moment on Turkey's strikes on northern Syria, the council's president for February has told reporters, correcting previous statement that all member states asked Turkey to "comply with international law" on Feb. 16.
