The military exercise, which showed the training of the 72nd Brigade for special operations of the Serbian Army called "Spearhead 2021", began at 11 a.m. in the "Rastko Nemanjic" barracks in Pancevo, in the presence of President Aleksandar Vucic.
The 63rd Parachute Brigade and part of the Air Force and Air Defense units also took part.

St. Sava's Day marked in National Theater event

BELGRADE -- A formal event celebrating the feast of St.Sava has been held at the National Theater in Belgrade, with President Tomislav Nikolic addressing the event.

According to Nikolic, "a nation's greatness was not measured by its size or territory, but by the number of enlightener it has."

NGO against marking of St. Sava's Day in schools

BELGRADE -- The Movement for Enlightened Society NGO has said that the marking of St. Sava's Day as the patron saint day of schools "violates the principle of secularity."

They also asked if the feast was "meant for all students or only for those of Orthodox faith."
