House used for early Beatles gigs becomes holiday rental
A Liverpool house famous for hosting some of The Beatles' first gigs in the basement has been given a new lease of life listed on Airbnb.
Mona Best, the party-loving mother of the band's original drummer Pete Best, opened the Casbah Coffee Club in the city's West Derby suburb in 1959, just before the group formed.

A painting created by the four members of the Beatles while on tour in Japan in 1966 has sold at auction for $1.7 million.
The painting, known as "Images of a Woman," was part of Christie's The Exceptional Sale and made nearly triple the high presale estimate of $600,000.

AI to bring Edith Piaf voice back to life for biopic
A new biopic on the life of Edith Piaf will use artificial intelligence to allow the French star to narrate her own story, Warner Music and her estate said on Nov. 14.
"Edith" is "in the final phase of development," sources close to Warner Music France said, but no release date has been scheduled.

A new Beatles song produced with a little help from artificial intelligence and including the vocals of John Lennon was released on Nov. 2 - to lukewarm reviews.
The song comes more than four decades after it was originally recorded as a demo, but despite the hype left critics distinctly underwhelmed.

Missing Beatles tablecloth returned
A tablecloth that all four members of The Beatles doodled on before a 1966 show has been returned to its California owners more than five decades after it was stolen.
The one-of-a-kind souvenir was created by the Fab Four as they feasted on steak ahead of a concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, their last ticketed performance.
