There are currently 44,000 job vacancies nationwide for September, indicating a slowing labor market in Bulgaria, with the most significant decline observed in the IT sector. Job listings in this sector have nearly halved over the past two years, as shown by data from an HR company and a career site.

A steering committee to nominate President Rumen Radev and Vice President Iliana Iotova as independent candidates to run for a second term in office at the November 14 presidential elections held its inaugural meeting on Monday. The committee comprises nearly 200 members, among them politicians, intellectuals, athletes, science, culture and art figures, and journalists.

The caretaker cabinet has appointed Rumen Spetsov Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA). He is replacing Galya Dimitrova, who was relieved of her duties, the Government Information Service said on Friday.
