It was the second time in my life I saw his face. The first time was one year and one day ago, on the night of the July 15, 2016, coup attempt, when he was heading a military team that raided the headquarters of Hürriyet and CNN Türk, as part of a raid on Doğan Media Center, in Istanbul at about 03:00 a.m. on July 16.

Suspects in Hürriyet raid during coup attempt refuse to testify in first hearing
The suspects in the case of the raid on daily Hürriyet, the Hürriyet Daily News, CNN Türk and Kanal D at the Doğan Media Center in the Bağcılar district of Istanbul on the night of last year's coup attempt refused to testify in the first hearing on July 17, claiming they had not received the indictment.
