Getir announces new investment and restructuring
Turkish grocery delivery app Getir has announced that it has received a new fresh investment of $250 million and that it will split into two groups.
Mubadala Investment Company, which injected the fresh capital, will hold the management and majority stake in the first group that will focus on food and grocery delivery operations in Türkiye.

Turkish grocery app Getir exits US, Europe
Turkish grocery delivery app Getir said on Monday it was withdrawing from the United States and its remaining locations in Europe to focus instead on its domestic market.
Getir said in a statement that it was leaving the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands and the United States — countries where it generated seven percent of sales.

Getir starts operating in New York
Istanbul-based Getir, the pioneer of ultra-fast grocery delivery business, announced yesterday that it started serving customers in New York.
The company entered the U.S. market with Chicago last month. It is planning to expand its service to Boston soon.

Getir acquires British smaller competitor
Turkey-based Getir, the pioneer of ultrafast grocery delivery since 2015, on Nov. 23 announced hat it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire the U.K.'s first ultrafast grocery delivery company Weezy.

Getir enters US market with Chicago
Istanbul-based Getir, the pioneer of ultra-fast grocery delivery business, announced on Nov. 12 that it entered the U.S. market with its services in Chicago.
It will add New York and Boston to its network by the end of the year, Getir founder Nazım Salur said.

Turkey’s Getir launches in Spain’s Madrid, Barcelona
Turkey's on-demand delivery pioneer Getir announced on Sept. 15 it has launched in the Spanish cities of Madrid and Barcelona.
In a statement, Getir said the move comes after acquiring BLOK, a similar rapid delivery service from Spain.

Turkish on-demand delivery pioneer Getir's valuation rose to over $7.5 billion, thanks to the investment of $550 million it received.
Getir will utilize the latest capital injection to fuel its expansion into the U.S., the Istanbul-based platform said in a statement on June 4.
Turkish delivery app is now in London
Getir, a major online delivery service in Turkey, has started operating in London, its co-founder announced on Jan. 27.
"Getir is now in London. We will endear this two-syllable Turkish word there, too," Nazım Salur, the co-founder and CEO of the fast-delivery startup Getir, said in a Twitter post.
