Fenerbahçe wins Intercontinental Derby

Fenerbahçe continued its good run in the Turkish Süper Lig, claiming its seventh win in its last eight games by beating Galatasaray 2-0 on April 10 and climbing up to the second spot.

Miha Zajc scored the opener in the 26th minute for the home side against its archrival, while Serdar Dursun added another in the 68th minute to give Fenerbahçe three points.

Turkey sets eyes on World Cup berth

Turkey heads to Montenegro on Nov. 16 night knowing that a victory would be enough for it to secure a top-two finish in its 2022 World Cup qualification group.

The country is currently second in Group G, level on points with third-placed Norway, while Montenegro is down in fourth and will finish in that position regardless of what happens on the final matchday.

Fenerbahçe suffer shock 2-1 home defeat against Alanyaspor

Fenerbahçe suffered a shocking 2-1 home defeat against Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig week 10 game on Oct. 24. 

Both teams had a quiet first half at the Ülker Stadium, Istanbul as no goals were scored in the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, Alanyaspor drew first blood in the 70th minute with former Galatasaray midfielder Emre Akbaba.

Turkey seal late 2-1 win over Latvia, keep their World Cup dreams alive

Turkey kept their 2022 World Cup finals hopes alive after securing a dramatic 2-1 win over Latvia in qualifiers on Oct. 11. 

The first half ended goalless at Daugava Stadium in the capital Riga.

Latvia took the lead thanks to Merih Demiral's own goal in the 70th minute.

Bundesliga 2 top scorer Dursun joins Fenerbahçe on free transfer

Fenerbahçe announced on June 15 that Serdar Dursun has moved to the Turkish football club.

"Welcome to Fenerbahçe, Serdar Dursun!," the team from Istanbul said on Twitter.

Dursun inked on a three-year deal with an option for a fourth when he joined Fenerbahçe on a free transfer from SV Darmstadt 98.
