Lavrov, Kerry Discuss Minsk Ceasefire, Nemtsov's Murder
US State Secretary John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met in Geneva on Monday, as the UN Human Rights Office released its latest report on the death toll in Ukraine.
According to the report, the number of people killed in eastern Ukraine since April 2014 surpassed the 6000 mark, despite the successive ceasefire agreements.
Dacic: Ceasefire agreement is followed for most part
WASHINGTON - The ceasefire agreement between the pro-Russian forces in the Donets Basin, eastern Ukraine, and the Ukrainian side is being followed for the most part, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said, according to TASS.
Russia and Cyprus Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides signed a memorandum on naval cooperation Wednesday.
Cyprus thus agreed to allow Russian anti-terrorism vessels to call at its ports, TASS information agency announced.
Presidents of both countries were also present at the ceremony.

Normandy Group Calls for Reinforcement of OSCE Mission to Ukraine
The foreign ministers of Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany met in the so-called "Normandy format" on Tuesday, calling for the reinforcement of the OSCE monitoring mission to Ukraine.
The foreign ministers also called for respect of the ceasefire agreement, that had been agreed by the leaders of the Normandy group earlier in February in Minsk, EurActiv reports.

US Military Officers to Train 600 Ukrainian National Guards
The US government has announced that military training will be provided to 600 Ukrainian national guards in March.
The new development was revealed a day after US President Obama announced his support for the diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
European Leaders Attempt 'Last Chance' for Peace in Ukraine
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande proposed a new peace plan during their visits to Ukraine and Russia on Thursday and Friday.
Hollande described the new proposal as "one of the last chances" to end the crisis in Ukraine, the BBC reports.
Merkel was not certain whether the plan would succeed, but it was "definitely worth trying".
