BELGRADE - Serbia's national electoral commission on Wednesday approved an Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians electoral list for the December 17 early parliamentary polls in Serbia.

The electoral list, named Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians - For Our President, For Our Community, For The Future, will be a national minority list.

BELGRADE - Serbia's national electoral commission on Tuesday approved the Dr Milos Jovanovic - Hope for Serbia electoral list, submitted by the Serbian Hope Coalition, comprised of the National-Democratic Alternative, the New Democratic Party of Serbia and the Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia - Vojislav Mihajlovic.

As the media previously stated, Seselj decided to resign from the party leadership.
"I am in a pretty bad state now. In the new elections, the party will probably be led by a new president. I do not feel well, and I have already been rejected by the Serbian people twice in the elections, and I saw it as high time to retire," Seselj said for the Alo portal.

The president of the Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals rejected a request from Serbian Radical Party leader Seselj to allow him to appeal against a second-instance verdict convicting him of persecuting Croats in Serbia in 1992.

Seselj told reporters on Thursday that the political gathering has been registered with the authorities and will be "peaceful."

Seselj has been found guilty and sentenced to ten years - however, considering that he spent 11.5 years detained by the Hague Tribunal, he will not go to jail.

The UN court in The Hague is to hand down its verdict on Serbian Radical Party leader Seselj, accused of wartime crimes in Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia, after a prosecution appeal against his initial acquittal.

The SRS did not manage to cross the five percent threshold and win seats in the Assembly - "but we are trying to stay on our feet," Seselj, whose party is in opposition at the state level, said on Wednesday.
