Bulgaria's Sesil Karatancheva Defeated in First Round of Wimbledon
Bulgaria's female tennis player Sesil Karatancheva concluded her participation in Wimbledon after suffering a defeat in the first round of the tournament.
Karatancheva was defeated by Silvia Soler-Espinosa from Spain with 6:2, 2:6, 5:7 on Tuesday.
The Bulgarian started the match well, winning convincingly the first set, but her performance was not as good in the second set.

Romania and Spain are tied once again, 2-2, after Irina Begu defeated Silvia Soler-Espinosa, by 6-2, 6-4, on Sunday, at the Dunarea Arena in Galati, in the first round of the World Group II of the team-based Fed Cup tennis competition.

Romanian woman tennis player Simona Halep has defeated Silvia Soler-Espinosa, 6-2, 6-1, and won the first point for Romania in the game against Spain, on Saturday, on the "Danube" Skating Ring in Galati, in the first round of the World Group II of the Fed Cup competition.

Tennis: Halep and other four Romanians to be seen playing on Thursday at the BRD Bucharest Open
Simona Halep is going to play in the rounds of sixteen of the singles event of the $250,000-equipped BRD Bucharest Open (WTA) tournament on Thursday, while four other Romanian players, Raluca Olaru, Irina Begu, Elena Bogdan, Alexandra Cadantu are going to play in the doubles event of the same competition taking place at the BNR Arenas in the Romanian capital.
