In the latest global tennis rankings published today, Bulgaria's top players, Grigor Dimitrov and Viktoriya Tomova, have retained their positions as they prepare for the upcoming season. Both athletes are set to compete in Brisbane, where the new season begins at the end of December.

US tennis legend Pete Sampras predicted a bright future for Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov.

In an interview for Swedish newspaper Expressen, Sampras praised the style demonstrated by Dimitrov, saying that he had something more to offer, daily Dnevnik reports.

Bulgaria's most successful tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, is nominated for ATP's Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award.

The other nominees are Marin Cilic, Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori.
