"Life on Our Planet," the new natural history series from Netflix and Steven Spielberg, sets out to tell the entire, dramatic story of life on Earth in a serialized, "binge watch" format.
Streaming globally today, the show's eight episodes transport viewers through Earth's five previous mass extinction events, each recreated with computer-generated visual effects.

As "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" celebrates its 40th anniversary, Henry Thomas, who starred as Elliott in the film, is reflecting on the movie and the fame that came with it.
Thomas spoke to CNN last week as an updated 4K Ultra HD version of the movie was released. It includes 45 minutes of new bonus footage of the Steven Spielberg directed classic.

Squid Game season 2 not before late 2024
Fans of "Squid Game" had better not be holding their breath: Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has yet to write the script for season two and said on April 4 it would likely not be released before late 2024.
"I have to work on season two. Hopefully, I can show it to the fans by the end of 2024," the South Korean writer-director said at the MIPTV festival in Cannes in the south of France.
