Turkish envoy, Taliban officials discuss Afghan situation
The Taliban on Sept. 6 said their officials held discussions on the situation in Afghanistan with Turkey's ambassador to the country.

Afghanistan Taliban plan 3-day cease-fire for Eid holiday
Afghanistan's Taliban on May 10 announced a three-day cease-fire for the Eid-al-Fitr holiday this week marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The cease-fire would begin on either May 12 or May 13. The Muslim calendar follows lunar cycles and the Eid holiday depends on the sighting of the new moon.
