BELGRADE - National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic and People's Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng signed a memorandum of understanding on establishment of a clearing arrangement and the designation of a clearing bank in Serbia for the Chinese yuan.

According to her, the NBS plans to introduce the new service as part of its instant payments solutions, launched last October.

"Customers will be able to make payments using Skype or visual identification," Tabakovic said, and added:

A stable dinar, a stable exchange rate and stable inflation remain the objectives for 2019, she told the RTS late on Wednesday, Tanjug reported.

Serbia is set to end this year with over 3 billion euros worth of net FDIs, Tabakovic said.
