"EU to hail progress Serbia has made in energy sector"
In its new EU accession progress report on Serbia the European Commission (EC) will positively assess progress made by Serbia in the field of energy.
This was announced on Monday by chief of the country's EU accession negotiations team Tanja Miscevic, who explained the report should be published at the beginning of October.
Miscevic: Precedent that would harm UNESCO
Kosovo's membership in UNESCO would be a precedent that would harm the future functioning of this organization, Tanja Miscevic said on Monday.
The head of Serbia's team in EU membership negotiations added that the country sees UNESCO as "crucial for the protection of its cultural heritage."

Energy and environment - priority in EU accession talks

Conference on Serbia's EU path on Tuesday
BELGRADE - A conference titled "Serbia along EU path - screening and after screening" will be held in the Serbian parliament on Tuesday, presenting the results of the negotiation process and screening, and next steps in the Serbia-EU negotiations.
The conference is being organized by the Serbian Government's EU Integration Office and the Policy and Legal Advice Center (PLAC).

Serbia completes screening
BRUSSELS - Serbia on Tuesday finished the screening of the last of the 35 chapters in its EU accession talks, completing a significant section of its European path, Serbia's chief EU negotiator Tanja Miscevic told reporters.
Much work lies ahead for us now to prepare the opening of the first chapters, Miscevic said after the screening for Chapter 33 (budget and finances) ended.
