Parliament speaker visits Russia for official talks
Turkish Ambassador to Moscow Tanju Bilgiç, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian parliament Konstantin Kosashev, Chairman of the Federation Council Russia-Türkiye Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Murat Hapsirokov and other officials welcomed parliament speaker Numan Kurtulmuş at Moscow Vnukovo Airport on Sept. 23.

Türkiye changes envoys in Moscow, Kiev
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has reshuffled a number of ambassadors, including Moscow and Kiev, the two warring neighboring states. The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, Tanju Bilgiç, will serve in Moscow while Mustafa Levent Bilgen will be deployed to Kiev, the Turkish media reported on June 16.

Ankara condemns firing at Turkish fishing boat by Syrian security forces
Türkiye has condemned the firing on a Turkish fishing boat called Mahmutcan-1, which sailed from Adana Karataş port, by two ships belonging to the Syrian regime security forces on May 28, while sailing in international waters.
The incident caused minor injuries to the two fishermen and material damage to the boat, said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç on May 28.
Türkiye closes airspace for flights from/to Sulaymaniyah airport over PKK acts
Türkiye has closed its airspace for the aircraft, which land/take-off at Iraq's Sulaymaniyah International Airport, as of April 3 upon the intensification of PKK activities in the region, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç said.

Six desecrating Turkish flag detained in Jarabulus
Six people, who tried to desecrate a Turkish flag during demonstrations against Türkiye in the northern Syrian province of Jarabulus, have been detained, İhlas News Agency has reported.
According to the report, "provocateurs" caused an uprising in the city on Aug. 11 and tried to take a Turkish flag down, following statements by Türkiye's top diplomat Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
