Isadora Duck | Athens | November 8 – December 1
The Greek National Opera's Alternative Stage (364 Syngrou) presents "Isadora Duck," an imaginative musical inspired by the dancer and choreographer Isadora Duncan and ideal for the whole family. Based on Thessaloniki writer Stella Michailidou's fairy tale, the show merges "The Ugly Duckling" with "Swan Lake," blending Hans Christian Andersen's story with Tchaikovsky's ballet.

Tourists flock to Ballet Festival in Bodrum
Organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, the Bodrum Ballet Festival, Türkiye's first and only ballet festival, is meeting art lovers for the 21st time.
The event, held in Bodrum Castle, attracted great interest from both local and foreign tourists.

Tchaikovsky Festival | Athens | December 22 – January 7
The internationally acclaimed Imperial Classical Ballet of Ukraine presents three of Tchaikovsky's most loved works over the Christmas holidays at the Athens College Theater (15 Stefanou Delta, Psychiko). "The Nutcracker," "Sleeping Beauty" and "Swan Lake" will capture the magic of Christmas in a celebration of the legendary composer's greatest work.
Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival continues
The 30 International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, which opened on Sept. 4 with the opera 'Aida' in Antalya's historical theater of Aspendos, will continue with Puccini's 'Tosca' opera on Sept 8. The event will also present Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Ballet' on Sept 13 and 14, Minkus' 'La Bayadere' on Sept 17 and the Gala Concert on Sept 21

Venezuelan classical musicians play for largest orchestra record
Sunset in Caracas was accompanied by the sound of classical music on Nov. 14 as thousands of Venezuelan musicians performed Tchaikovsky's 'Marche Salve' to set the record for "the world's largest orchestra".
Flanked by mountains, the courtyard of the Venezuelan Military Academy hosted around 12,000 classical musicians looking to make their way into the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ski jumper Križnar finishes on podium but loses overall lead
Tchaikovsky – Slovenian ski jumper Nika Križnar finished third in the women’s World Cup event in Russia’s Chaykovsky on Friday, but this was not enough for her to retain the overall lead in the competition. One event to go in the season, Križnar is trailing Sara Takanashi of Japan.
Swan Lake | To December 31
Ticket services firm Viva.gr is showing Tchaikovsky's all-time classic "Swan Lake" in a high-definition recording by the Russian Ballet Theater that was performed at the Piraeus Municipal Theater last year, starring Mizinova Liudmila, Odinokova Natalia and Tkachenko Maxim. The video can be viewed at any time through December 31 and the fee is 10 euros.

Sleeping Beauty | December 25-27
Unable to open its doors this year due to the Covid restrictions, the annual Christmas Theater program of holiday events has gone online with a shorter program of live-streamed shows. For the Christmas holiday it will be streaming Tchaikovsky's family favorite "Sleeping Beauty" with the 1966 choreography by Rudolf Nureyev for Milan's La Scala.

Sleeping Beauty | Thessaloniki | December 19-23
The St Petersburg Festival Ballet will be on stage at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall with Tchaikovsky's all-time classic "Sleeping Beauty," in a production inspired by the company's founder, Marius Petipa, and adapted to the 21st century. Elena Kotsyubira performs the role of Aurora. Shows take place at 8.30 p.m., with extra 4.30 p.m. performances on December 21 and 22.
