Maintaining the macroeconomic stability and fully implementing the reforms required to tackle the basic structural deficiencies of the Serbian economy will be the main challenge for the economic policy, says Sebastian Sosa, head of the IMF Office in Serbia.

This is true even though it has a higher points total, says the latest World Bank report, "Doing Business 2019: Training for Reform", released on Wednesday, Tanjug reported.

"The main reasons behind the drop in the rankings are the faster pace of improvements in other economies' business regulatory environment," the World Bank said in a statement.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic and International Finance Cooperation (IFC) Vice-President Georgina Baker on Tuesday signed an agreement on cooperation between the Serbian government and the IFC in supporting the implementation of a project aimed at improving the business environment in Serbia.
