Macroeconomic conditions see "major improvement"

Serbia drops 5 places on WB's Doing Business report
This is true even though it has a higher points total, says the latest World Bank report, "Doing Business 2019: Training for Reform", released on Wednesday, Tanjug reported.
"The main reasons behind the drop in the rankings are the faster pace of improvements in other economies' business regulatory environment," the World Bank said in a statement.
Brnabic, Baker sign agreement on cooperation
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic and International Finance Cooperation (IFC) Vice-President Georgina Baker on Tuesday signed an agreement on cooperation between the Serbian government and the IFC in supporting the implementation of a project aimed at improving the business environment in Serbia.

Serbia climbs from 54th to 47th in WB's Doing Business list
BELGRADE - Serbia has climbed from the 54th to the 47th position in the just-released World Bank Doing Business list.
Serbia also ranked among this year's 10 most-improved of the total 189 countries.
Solution for Vinca landfill to be found soon
BELGRADE - Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali and International Finance Corporation (IFC) Regional Director for the Western Balkans Thomas Lubeck on Tuesday signed an agreement on financial consultancy services that will, among other things, ensure a solution to the problem of the Vinca landfill, the largest landfill in this part of Europe.
