In Brussels on Monday, Romania's President Klaus Iohannis attended a meeting with representatives of the Eastern Partnership member states, advocating for strengthening this organisation.

Foreign ministers from the eight Arctic council countries, including Russia and the United States, ended today's meeting in northern Finland without accepting a joint declaration, BTA reported.
"This is an organization where all decisions are based on consensus, decisions must be unanimous," Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini, who chaired the meeting, told reporters.

The European countries face many challenges, the most important, however, being the topic of cooperation in security and defense, Finnish Foreign Affairs Minister Timo Soini told on Wednesday in Bucharest a joint press conference alongside his counterpart, Teodor Melescanu.

Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini said in an interview with Russia's Kommersant that his country does not exclude joining NATO. Soini, however, explicitly stresses that his country is not currently discussing this issue.
